A girls trip is all we need sometimes. If we can steal our girls away for a few days we tend to feel like we just won the lottery. To get them for two weeks, that is unheard of!
For the fact that I was able to have one-on-one time with one of my best girlfriend for an extended period of time, while we were both traveling to new countries + partaking in new bucket list adventures, this trip will always be one of my favorite trip s of my lifetime,
They say you really get to know someone when you travel with them, this trip for us solidified that we would be in each other's life forever.
BELIZE

Lamanai means "submerged crocodile" in the Maya language.
These ruins date back to 1500 B.C. but have only been excavated since 1975 which makes it relatively new to the archaeological world.
Lamanai was built alongside the New River, which made it an ideal trade route. A boat ride down the river is the best + most comfortable way to access the site.
There are a total of 12 Mayan ruin sites in Belize.
Lamanai is a Mesoamerican archaeological site locates in the northern part of Belize. What once was a major city of the Maya civilization, now is one of the most interesting archaeological sites in Belize.

Upon landing in Belize, our EF tour guide was at the airport with a bus ready to pick up the entire group to transport us and our luggage to the Lamanai Hotel & Marina in Orange Walk Town. One thing I entirely underestimated was the humidity. The moment I stepped out of the airport, my hair started frizzing and I began sweating.
The bus ride from Belize City to Orange Walk Town, was approximately an hour and a half, which included a quick stop at the market. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with great hospitality, including these refreshing summer cocktails.
We spent the rest of the first day making formal introductions, having shared laughs over dinner and drinks while dancing the night away.
